The Best Portable Blenders 2022: Personal Blenders to Blend On the Go

Want to start each day with a healthy smoothie or an indulgent mocha frappé? Can’t resist a frozen margarita on a Friday afternoon? With rechargeable and travel-friendly picks to choose from, here are our best portable blenders to motivate your health kick wherever you are.

The best portable blenders are designed to keep up with busy weekdays and healthy lifestyles. With cordless styles that can be used just about anywhere, many of our favourite personal blenders can soon blend up single servings of the freshest fruit smoothies from the office, at the gym, on a hiking trail, travelling in an RV or taking on holiday.

The best portable blender for you might be one that is ultra lightweight so you can easily pack into your hand luggage, or one that is powerful enough to last on a long-haul flight. Our picks for the best personal blenders are the perfect choice specifically for those who want something that can be used for travel.

While full-sized blenders are handy for families who need multiple servings at once, a personal blender is often perfectly sufficient for smaller households or single travellers. Personal blenders are great for those who often have their meals on the go – whether while hiking in the mountains, driving on a roadtrip or jet-setting across the globe.

To help you find the best personal blenders in 2022, we have evaluated each one for operation and functionality, power, cup size and style. Below you’ll find the best personal blenders money can buy.

How to Choose the Best Personal Blender:

  • Power: higher wattage blenders are intended to handle more difficult-to-blend foods, like ice-filled beverages. It is important to note, though, that higher wattages don’t always perform better. The shape of the blender’s cup and the ability to pulse help with blending too.
  • Cup size: You need to consider what you plan on using your portable blender for. If you want it for single-serving smoothies while travelling, a smaller cup will likely suffice and be much easier to take with you. However, if you want enough for two people and only plan on taking it to the office or the gym, a larger 16-32 ounce blender might be better.
  • Cup style: With a travel blender, portability is key. A significant factor to consider, therefore, is cup style. Is it slim and easy to hold? Does it fit into your car’s cup holders? Does it have a lid that seals well? Does it have grip to carry easily?

Which is the Best Portable Blender?

Breville Blend Active Portable Blender

Are you looking for a portable smoothie blender that packs a punch without breaking the bank? If so, this Breville portable blender might just be the one for you.

Given that smoothie blenders are usually marketed towards healthy, active people, the Blend Active Personal blender has its look down to a T. Its white and green finish makes you want to be healthier and provides the perfect style for slurping down your greens in the morning. The two supplied cups have slender waists and sleek finger indentations to help you grip easier.

The Breville Active personal blender comes with a compact base, which isn’t much bigger than a bag of sugar. Other than this, the only other aspect of this travel blender are the two accompanying cups, so it shouldn’t take up too much space in your hand-luggage or suitcase.

The instruction manual for this portable blender bottle is short and to the point – and that’s because it’s so easy to use. All you have to do to work this travel blender is fill it up to the maximum fill line, screw on the blade attachment, turn the whole assembly upside down and use the juicer’s bayonet filling to attach it to the base. Then, simply hold down the ‘Blend’ button to start blending until your smoothie is smooth.

While it isn’t the most powerful on this list of the best portable blenders, it does a brilliant job given its low price point and its small size.

Overall, the Breville Blend Active is by far one of the best personal blenders for making smoothies on the move. At a very low cost, this travel blender produces a top-drawer fruit smoothie. So, if you’re looking for a small blender that won’t fail at blending up any kind of fruit while travelling, and don’t want to spend a fortune, this is definitely one to consider.

Sage Boss To Go Personal Blender

If I had to use one word to describe the Sage Boss personal blender, it would be “sturdy”. Its durability starts at the base – this is made from die-cast metal to add weight to the blender and enhances its sturdiness on the worktop.

Meanwhile, this portable blender’s blades come sealed into a single unit that locks into the base with a robust metal coupling. The serrated Kinetix blades themselves are shaped purposely to create rapid circulation for optimum blending within the scooped stainless-steel bowl below.

However, you would hope this travel blender was good given the rather steep price tag. It is one of the most expensive portable smoothie blenders you’ll find, but is it one of the best?

In terms of power, the Sage Boss personal blender features an impressive 1,000W motor assembly, along with two 800ml bottles with handy sipping caps and more compact storage caps for if you need to store your smoothie in the fridge for a while. The feeling of quality also extends to the blending cups. Made of thick plastic and roughly pint-glass sized, they don’t look as stylish as those that come with other portable blenders, but they are super practical – allowing you to fit in more ingredients and making them easier to wash. You can even wash the cups, lids and blade assembly in the dishwasher!

The Boss To Go portable blender also comes with a comprehensive instruction manual, which includes a slickly produced full-colour recipe book, complete with detailed descriptions of how to live a healthier life.

Overall, the Boss To Go might be expensive, but it looks good, feels good and produces some damn good smoothies. It might be an investment buy, but if you want the smoothest smoothies, this is the portable blender for you.

TOPESCT Portable Blender

The TOPSECT portable blender is a true gem when it comes to travel options. With a built-in 2*2000Mah battery and a USB charging port, this personal blender can be taken anywhere with minimum hassle. Charge up the battery before you hop on the plane or use the USB charging port when you get to your hotel – you won’t run out of power that’s for sure. And, this travel blender can produce 15-20 cups per charge!

Adding to this rechargeable blender’s unbeatable portability is the fact that it’s cordless – pack it in your backpack, your gym bag, or your suitcase and enjoy freshly blended juice on the go.

Not only is it portable but the TOPSECT personal blender is powerful. Equipped with 6pcs super-sharp steel blades, with a rotating speed of 22000 Rpm, you can crush anything from ice cubes to frozen fruit in no time. And, powered by a 4000mAh rechargeable high capacity battery, you shouldn’t underestimate what this travel blender can do.

In terms of design, the bottom of the container is silicone, giving it a non-slip, shock-absorbing quality. It is made from eco-friendly, non-toxic PCTG material and is equipped with a safe magnetic induction system – simply flip the red arrow pointing towards the switch to turn it on.

Overall, the TOPSECT portable blender is one for true travellers. This travel blender isn’t meant to be used in one place. So, if you’re looking for the best portable blender to take on adventures across the world, this just might be the one.

NUTRiBULLET 600 Portable Blender

This popular little portable blender makes big claims. The makers of the NutriBullet smoothie blender say that it ‘pulverises everything’ and has ‘nutrient-extracting’ powers. But can it deliver on its promises?

The NutriBullet 600 personal blender comes with a powerful internal motor and a number of mixing containers. It also features two different blades that can blend everything from frozen fruit, nuts and ice cubes. Such power means this travel blender can create all sorts of mixtures, including soups and smoothies. However, this personal blender does lack different speed settings – but with two power levels and two cutting styles, this shouldn’t be a problem.

Perfectly small and compact, this portable smoothie blender is ideal for taking on your travels. If you prefer a larger blender, though, you might be better off with a different NutriBullet model, such as the NutriBullet Nutrient Extractor.

The two small mixing containers plug directly into the top of the base – simply press them in to start blending. For a bit of variety, you can switch out the blades to change how the blender prepares your mixtures. One of the NutriBullet’s blades chops down larger pieces, while the other quickly shreds them. Once finished blending, the mixing containers double as drinking cups, too. You can secure the lid over the top and bring the container with you wherever you go.

Ultimately, if you’re looking for a powerful personal blender that you can take on the move, you could do a lot worse than the NutriBullet 600. Although it’s fairly basic when it comes down to how it operates, with no option to change the speed settings or pulse, if you want a reliable smoothie blender that makes everything from smoothies, milkshakes, protein shakes and soups, this is a great choice.

Daewoo Rechargeable Blender

Moving onto the stylish Daewoo rechargeable blender. This mini portable blender allows you to enjoy your favourite smoothies and juices made fresh on the go. Simply pop in your choice of ingredients and you’re ready to start blending wherever you are in the world.

Each Daewoo rechargeable portable blender comes with a built-in 1200mh battery that can easily be charged using a Micro-USB cable. It takes just 2 hours to achieve maximum charge, which can then be used for approximately 6-10 cycles – plenty to get you through a day of travelling.

Looking for a lightweight and compact personal blender? You might just have found it. This mini blender is designed to fit into any backpack, gym back or even a carry on. Weighing under 0.3kg, you won’t even notice that you’re carrying it around with you. With a drinking lid included, it makes the perfect cup to take with you on your explorations.

Despite being so small, the Daewoo portable blender is super sturdy. Having been made using the highest quality materials and following strict safety standards, this small personal blender is one that you can rely on. And, featuring an SUS 304 steel blade and a PP clear jug container, it is able to blend up even the hardest of ingredients.

Aigostar Portable Blender

Last but not least on this list of the best portable blenders is the Aigostar – an incredibly powerful travel blender that won’t give up on you. With a powerful pure copper motor of 1000W, this personal smoothie blender can blend foods at speeds up to 23000 RPM. A total of six high-quality £D stainless steel blades seamlessly crush ice and frozen fruit to ensure no large lumps are left.

Something that some of the other portable blenders on this list lack is different speed and pulse settings. Well, not this one. The Aigostar travel blender offers two adjustable speeds and pulse functions, which allow you to achieve versatile blending features. Use the pulse mode to crush ice and activate the blender for short and powerful blending. It’s the perfect choice for making smoothies and shakes for breakfast on the go.

Despite being so powerful, this portable smoothie blender doesn’t skimp when it comes to safety. Equipped with overload and overheat protection, this personal blender prevents damage to the motor. The blending bottle then locks into the base securely and it won’t start operating until properly clicked in. Finally, slip-resistant rubber feet provide strong grip so the blender stays in place on the kitchen counter during operation.

You’ll also be happy to hear that this personal blender is super easy to clean. The “P” function will clean your food blender jar easily and quickly. It’s even equipped with food-grade silicone rings, which effectively reduce the oxidation rate to keep your smoothie fresh and to prevent leakages. And, the BPA Free jug and other detachable parts are dishwasher-safe.

Overall, the Aigostar personal blender is a super-durable option and provides a whole host of convenient functions that help you blend your food on the move. Opt for this travel blender if you want a blender for life.

  1. I just bought a Koios portable blender and I’ve been having smoothies at lunch. I keep the base at work but bring the cup back and forth. I fill it with smoothie ingredients (including frozen fruit which keeps everything cold and eliminates the need for ice) and blend for lunch. So far I really like it.
